The Retreat
The retreat is designed to loop in the reception area of a photography gallery, as a reflective pause for visitors, easing them into an emotive, contemplative mindset before entering. It mirrors aspects of traditional photography, so it’s integrated into the gallery experience as a ‘living photograph’. The melancholic feel doesn’t suggest sadness rather the passing of time and the beauty of what exists in moments of stillness.
